The Terrasaw™ provides quick, easy, versatile trench digging when and where you need it. Powered by a chainsaw power head, it is highly portable and perfectly suited for use in areas with limited access. It digs rapidly with little turf or ground disturbance, which allows for rapid back-filling and quick site cleanup.

The impressive digging speed and sheer convenience of a totally portable machine you can carry with one hand means that large time and cost saving are possible on many projects. The Terrasaw™ is ideal for:
- cable, pipe and utility contractors (laying electric and other cable, pipe, telecom services, gas and irrigation lines etc.)
- farmers and fencing contractors (laying Alkathene water pipe, especially to troughs, laying electric fence undergate cable, digging strainer stay blocks, etc.)
- plumbers and drain layers (supply lines, sewerage and drainage)
- builders (digging foundation profiles, footings, etc.)
- irrigation installers (domestic and commercial)
- gardeners and landscapers (including garden lighting and lawn edging, where the need for timber boxing for concrete can be dramatically reduced)

The patented Terrasaw™ cuts a trench approx. 40mm wide and up to 700 mm deep, depending on the model/digging bar used. Larger trenches can quickly be produced with two parallel cuts, allowing easy spade removal of remaining soil. The Terrasaw is made in two sizes. The TS 450 is a general-purpose model for depths of up to 450 mm, while the TS 700 is designed to suit contractors and other users who need to bury services up to 700mm deep.
These models may be purchased either as part of a complete new trenching unit, to be set up on a matched professional quality chainsaw power head, or as a bolt-on accessory for selected existing chainsaws. Terrasaws are typically an immediate fit to the Stihl and Husqvarna range, but if you have another brand of suitable size let us know and we'll check for you. [Note; the Terrasaw requires a minimum chainsaw power head/engine size of approx 70cc or more.] A Terrasaw fits to a compatible chainsaw power head in minutes, and the unit can be converted back to timber-cutting mode just as quickly. It is engineered to be a robust professional tool, fully serviceable, with easy chain adjustment.
If you are purchasing the Terrasaw for professional/commercial use, do trenching on a regular basis, or currently don't own a suitable power head, then a complete new unit is your best choice. Once we know your Terrasaw choice and preferred brand of power head we can recommend specific models to give optimum performance.
We now have a new Wheel Support Accessory (TS WSA) to make life easy for those who dig long continuous trenches. The Terrasaw quickly attaches to the support axle, which has an adjustment system to control the angle/depth of the digging bar. A quick-fit remote throttle control is also provided, making this a very valuable accessory!
